I, Arthur J. Ressel of AA Appraisers, have been active in the fields of personal property appraisals and estate personal property liquidations for over 68 years.
In addition, years of appraising numerous business personal properties has broadened my scope of capabilities to include office inventories and manufacturing machinery, as well as professional, scientific, medical and technical equipment.
Throughout the years, my abilities have been a service to several historical societies, The St. Louis Art Museum, consultant to the Smithsonian Museum and numerous other museums dealing in the appraisal of donated materials.
I routinely work with, and for, a number of area attorneys supplying appraisal work for divorce, division of properties, tax litigation, bankruptcies, probate and estate work. In addition, I continue to work for virtually all of the St. Louis area’s insurance company claims departments, numerous real estate agents and a number of area banks.
I authored an internationally recognized book on a popular collectible, have been a major contributor to numerous books and magazines, have been host of two local “Antiques & Collectibles” radio shows on stations WIBV and KTRS, taught two courses on appraisal of antiques and collectibles at Jefferson College and continue being a guest speaker at local clubs and organizations, as well as routinely being a key appraiser at Channel 9 “Trash or Treasure” appraisal fairs.
I continually assist in personal property evaluations and estate sale liquidations with trusted groups in the St. Louis area.
My association throughout the years with a vast network of professionals, in a great number of fields, enables me to keep abreast of current market values throughout the world, and the ability to deal internationally in exposing items for a greater equitable liquidation.
I am a qualified appraiser of all business and personal properties, encompassing antique and contemporary collectibles. I am fully recognized by the courts, and an active member of “The Certified Appraisers Guild of America.”
I am in total compliance with all qualification criteria for such a position as specified by the guidelines set forth by the United States Appraiser Qualifications Board, and the US Appraisal Foundation, and follow strictly the Code of Ethics of The American Society of Appraisers.
